They have put a TON of research/work into this game and the reason they are delaying it is not because of Skate 2 but because they wanted to get it RIGHT. (unlike some other "big name" snowboarding game I won't mention) Second, there shouldn't be a need to promote the game if it is as good as we hope it will be. The quality of the game will speak for itself. Sure opening week sales won't be huge but the game will continue selling if it's quality. I had high hopes for Shaun White, then it turned out to be mediocre. I was praying that Stoked would be the answer to my snowboarder needs, but I have to admit this last second delay makes things sound sketchy. One rumor is that the game didn't pass Microsoft's certification. If that's the case, than the game is truly whacked because Microsoft lets a lot slide. If anything, pushing the release back by a month shows how professional the team is, as it shows they're willing to spend the extra time, money and effort on developing the best game they can. An extra month to tweak can make the difference between a "good, but not great" game, and one that feels "Just right". Besides, rarely does the actual DEVELOPMENT STUDIO have a say when it comes to releasing the final game, it's usually the PUBLISHER. So props to both the dev team & publisher for taking an extra month, you guys rock.
