Absinthe Films
Absinthe Films and Destineer have teamed together to bring you the most realistic snowboarding experience ever brought to the Xbox 360 console. Patrick ‘Brusti’ Armbruster played a very important role in the development of the game. As an industry consultant, we worked with Brusti to coordinate many of the brands and riders seen in the game. The authenticity from locations to camera angles was also heavily influenced by previous movies from the Absinthe crew.
We are very confident that Stoked will be the game that changes the way snowboarding games are made. Our partnering with Absinthe Films brings a new level of detail to snowboarding games. Stoked has some incredible mountains, countless snowboarding tricks and the most respected pros in the industry.
In 1999 there was an opportunity to establish the first all European snowboard film to register on an international scale. A chance meeting at a San Diego screening, brought together Patrick ‘Brusti’ Armbruster (Onboard Magazine senior photographer) and Justin Hostynek (established film-maker and Snowboarder Magazine senior photographer). The following winter they collaborated on a ‘European rider’ based film, titled ‘Tribal’. Expanding the scope of their projects to include the best riders from both Europe and North America they would go on together to establish Absinthe Films as a leading film production company in the industry and gain unique credibility in the snowboarding scene world-wide. The focus of Absinthe films has always been to present the highest level of progressive snowboarding to it’s audience in a fresh, inclusive and engaging way. Focused on establishing new standards rather than keeping up with pack.

Neverland Coming this Fall!
Neverland is a state of mind, a mountain pushed up from the ground by imagination. Anyone can go but most people have trouble with the simple directions: Follow your dreams. This winter Absinthe dropped down the rabbit hole to explore this elusive place and brought back some mind bending tales and a pocketful of surprises. Travis Rice, Dan Brisse, Bode Merrill, Nicolas Müller, Sylvain Bourbousson, JP Solberg, Romain deMarchi, DCP, Marc Frank Montoya, Annie Boulanger, Marie-France Roy, Jules Reymond, Wille Yli-Luoma, Cale Zima, Phil Damianakes, Wolfgang Nyvelt, Kevin Pearce, Eero Ettala, Gigi Rüf and the rest of the Lost Boys continued down the road less traveled and explored some new possibilities during a winter that saw the progression of snowboarding take some giant strides.
